Which Countries have the greatest need?

Many countries have very significant needs but the form of the need varies.

Some needs are permanent such as poverty, geographic isolation or health issues.

Other needs relate to temporary emergency situations such as the Myanmar cyclone, the China earthquake or the Bihar floods in NE India and Nepal.

VoF (NZ) is committed to long term relief and development projects in places such as Basilan (South Philippines)
and Payatas (Manila), Cagayan Valley (North Philippines),
Hmong in SE Asia and Russia.
In many places the cost of power is a significant issue. High power costs threaten much of the community value added programming we provide to places such as Indonesia and India. In places such as Saipan and Malawi the high cost of power threatens the ability to continue at current broadcasting levels.

In some places such as Cambodia, Saipan, Mongolia, the Philippines and La Mirada, USA maintenance of equipment are the most pressing needs.

About 80% of programs in Indonesian languages are health and development based.
