Can any radio receive Voice Of Friendship programs?

Yes, our programmes can be received by any radio dependant upon location and type of reception (SW, MW, FM).

Reception does not require that the radio be supplied by FEB however often an FEB supplied radio is the only radio a family has access to. Sometimes whole villages gather round one radio.

Some FEB radios are pre-tuned to FEB broadcasting frequencies.

In the west we often don't realise what a lifeline radio is in other, developing countries. The west computers, ipods, cars, boats and houses are symbols of wealth but in developing countries a bike, radio and mobile phone are the most sought after status symbols.

For many people hearing programmes in their own heart languages is a great excitement. FEB is the only station broadcasting in minority languages in many parts of the world.

Many people groups in developing countries still operate as oral traditionalists with very low literacy levels or with no written language. In such situations there is simply no Christian literature, no printed Bible and no possibility of purchasing these even if they did exist. Some such areas are very remote and/or closed or resistant to missionaries. FEB broadcasts to these people groups are often the only exposure they have to the Gospel message.
